Description:
The name "Abyss" is symbolic of the eclectic foundation of the band. There is an idea of an abyss similar to a black hole (endless, all-consuming void). As far as the band is concerned, this represents the wide variety of influences that each member brings with them. There are very few styles of music that are not, in some way, a part of this band in some way. When it comes to inspiration and influence, Abyss is seemingly endless and all-consuming by nature.

Abyss played their first show Novemeber 21st,2003 and it was a great turn out. The Somber asked them back and they will be playing at the Somber Reptile December 12,2003. Doors open at 8. Go to www.abyssonline.net or www.somberreptile.com for more information on the show. Abyss also may be playing at the Masquerade in Atlanta December 17th,2003. We hope that you can come out and see a show. We will keep everyone posted!
