Description:
While some have referred to Apparently Nothing as 'Nirvana plays Guns n' Roses', Apparently Nothing creates a style all their own. How? By ripping off at least 3 artists per song!
Apparently Nothing started as a common interest between grade school friends Aaron Shekey (Lead Vocals, Guitar) and Ryan McGrew (Bass Guitar, Vocals). By crafting their unique blend of grunge inspired pop/rock with pawn-shop guitars and stolen amplifiers, Apparently Nothing would soon create music taken to heart by countless bored 'generation nothing' teens. With the addition of charismatic Jim Lincoln (Lead Guitar, Vocals) and Layne Knutson (Drums), Apparently Nothing would soon book shows at The Anchor Inn, Liquid Lyrics Lounge, The Klinic, The Stagedoor, The Grumpy Troll, and The New Loft.
With a large repertoire of nearly 40 original songs, the band entered the studio in the winter/spring of 2003 to record their as of yet untitled debut CD. Trading off between their home studio and MMI's, Apparently Nothing recorded 15 rock gems. On September 3rd, 2003 the band released their debut disc "If Only For Silence."
