Description:
ATP is broad in its alternative style of playing, much like the selection at a coffee shop. There are hot ones, cold ones, sweet ones, bitter ones, and strong ones, even ones that don’t have coffee in them. ATP plays alternative music with the instruments mentioned above. ATP works hard to stay true to their feelings, and styles by writing what comes out and not forcing it. This however does lean them towards other bands with similar styles including the following: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Our Lady Peace, U2, Semi Sonic, Life House, Lit, Goo Goo Dolls, and Fuel. These bands however only fully describe ATP when added all together.
Band Members:
Owen McGreehan, a classical vocalist and saxophone player, pushes himself everyday to match the style of music ATP produces, and he succeeds beyond belief combining raspy emotional vocals with heartfelt soothing syllables many times right after one another. Miles Ryan, the rhythm section of pure energy, has been trained in classic, and jazz style drumming as well as piano, but has converted his mastery of the sticks into a complex every beat counts experience. Justin Walsh, a primarily self-taught guitarist with some piano and flute training is accustomed to being by himself. He writes most of the music and lyrics and pieces together his bandmates’ suggestions. Nonetheless, he has worked hard to learn to play rhythm licks and lead licks to guide the band in the creation of art. Last, and certainly not least is Keelan Cosgrave, the violinist-gone bassist. He also has some flute training, but played Suzuki violin most of his life. Taking his bass flow from his favorites like 311 he works hard day (and night) to get every note perfect.
