Description:
Civil Circuit first arrived on to the music scene in the fall of 1998 in the college town of Greenville, NC, where their infectious sounds ripped through the local music scene causing a movement that would not be taken lightly. After the arrival and departure of a few colorful and eccentric members, the band solidified into its current four-member form in early 2000. During the next two years, Civil Circuit toured sporadically around the southeast, building a loyal, cult-like following.
In an effort to advance their sound and develop a more extensive following, the band relocated to Atlanta at the beginning of 2002 to begin work on their debut album. Upon arrival in the ever growing music scene of Atlanta the band signed a lucrative production deal with Real 2 Reel Studios, official home of Atlanta’s very own Collective Soul and began work on their long anticipated debut album. With influences ranging from alternative to hip-hop and jazz to techno, Civil Circuit offers a versatile listening experience to every audience member. The Civil Circuit sound relies on ambient guitars with driving drum beats accompanied by deep bass tracks and sampled sequencing to create a fresh, melodic atmosphere that always leaves to listener wanting more. The Civil Circuit sound may best be described as hard rock that uses hip-hop rhythms and a spicy blend of synthetic electronic effects. While the sound may be hard to classify, listeners can testify that the style is fresh and innovative, charged with a unique brand of upbeat energy.
