Downfall2012

Band Members:
In 1997 Danny Gil (vocals, guitar), and Josh Pazda (drums) joined Downfall, a high school rock band that Adam Pazda (bass, vocals) had been currently playing in. The band experienced some turbulence and was in need of new members due to several members quitting. As years went by, and members came and went, Danny, Adam, and Josh decided that it was time to get serious. First and foremost, Andrew Zapatka was added to the list as a brand new guitarist, for a set of brand new songs. Due to the changes in the line up and style Downfall felt a name change was necessary as well. The band decided to upgrade the name rather than a complete change, making them now and finally Downfall 2012. Downfall 2012 is known for the use of traditional metal guitar riffs and phat nfunky bass lines, combined with off the wall artistically composed drum rhythms, and Rapping, Singing, and Screaming about everything from common everyday life to political and social issues faced by the nation. The style overall is just really hard to classify but defiantly not hard to grove to. It would be more realistic to determine the styles of each of the songs individually considering that they are all unique in their own way. The songs featured on the sample cd were taken from Downfall 2012's current project. The new album, which is currently titled “The Fuse is Lit,” is available for purchase at Soundwaves music and Cactus Music. It was recorded and mixed in WIRE recording studios in Austin, TX. This full length LP was engineered by Stuart Sullivan (Sublime, Butt Hole Surfers, Meat Puppets), and produced by Larry Fulcher (Grammy award winner with Taj Mahal and the Phantom Blues Band). Mastering was done at YES Mastering in Austin, TX by Jim Wilson (Pushmonkey).
