Pete Wentz from Fallout Boy and band Silverstein to Visit Old Glory Store on April 17th

Douglasville, GA April 12 2005: Old Glory, the multi-channel retail brand that includes a series of catalogs, the highly trafficked OldGlory.com website, and a consistently growing network of Old Glory retail stores, announced today that its Arbor Place Mall store will host special visits from Pete Wentz of Fallout Boy fame and members of Victory Records recording artists, Silverstein on Sunday April 17th.

Bassist Pete Wentz has been influencing Chicago’s underground hardcore scene with Fall Out Boy, a band that used the unbridled intensity of hardcore as a foundation for melody-drenched pop-punk with a heavy debt to the emo scene. Pete will be at the Old Glory store signing his new Clandestine Industries book, “The Boy with the Thorn in his Side”, a tale of nightmares and things that go bump in the night. The 43-page hardcover book features the writings of Pete Wentz with illustrations by Joe Tesauro and coloring by Rob Dobi.

About to launch a UK tour this May, members of Silverstein will make a personal appearance at Old Glory to meet customers and sign autographs. Acquiring their name from the famous children’s author, Silverstein was formed in early 2000 in an attempt to tear down the boundaries between hardcore, emo and punk.

Also that day Old Glory will host an exciting in-store raffle loaded with prizes valued up to $1,000! Shop the Old Glory store from Tuesday April 12th-Sunday April 17th for your chance to be entered into the drawing.
