Description:
The Hatch
The Hatch is riding fast on the pop music horizon and it’s signaling a change. The four-piece rock band’s ambitious approach to songwriting has made them one of the most exciting unsigned bands in both the Los Angeles and St. Louis music circuits. The sing-along pop of “Alison”, the danceable funk of “Find Them” and the thoughtful, alternative groove of “Josephine” all prove that the band’s diverse sound is a reflection of their even more diverse music tastes. The band impregnates the inspirational sounds of classic artists like Stevie Wonder, Led Zeppelin and early Elton John with the influences of more contemporary innovators like Jeff Buckley and Radiohead in yielding their oddly retro sound. In their short run, the Hatch has cut 5 EP’s and has opened for national acts like Josh Kelly, Brian Van Der Ark (of the Verve), and the Bacon Brothers. They have put their soulful rock on display in front of sold out shows in both Los Angeles and St. Louis, leaving thousands with the taste of something new.
