They are so awesome! If you need to relax or if you wanna rock, they're what you need! I know the band personally and all the guys are the sweetest and coolest guys ever! Chris, Mike, and Eric... keep it up guys! |

Description:
Mourning Eve is a band consisting of 3 people, all coming from different musical influences and playing styles. The fusion has resulted in a kind of rock that we like to call 'chillaxed rock'. Basically, our goal is to create music that you can sit back and just chill to. This means using any and all styles of music that give you that 'relaxed feeling' in all of our songs. Our music won't make you go deaf, but it DEFINATELY won't leave your ears full of cobwebs either. Each one of our songs has a different feel to it; some will make you smile, others will make you close your eyes and day-dream, still others will leave you feeling inspired and energetic. Come check us out, you won't be dissappointed.
Band Members:
Mike, the lead singer and rhythm guitarist, has been influenced mainly by John Mayer, Ben Harper, and Dave Matthews. Eric, the lead guitarist and back-up vocalist, has been influenced mainly by Incubus, 311, Grüvis Malt, and Foo Fighters. Chris, the percussionist and back-up vocalist, has been influenced mainly by OAR, Dave Matthews, and Phish. So as you can see, we are all very different people who all have to same love and passion for good, talented music.
Mike calls Vernon Hills (IL) his hometown, however he is moving to California shortly. Eric's hometown is Naperville (IL), and Chris' hometown is Charleston (IL). We all attend Illinois State University, the institution that has allowed this band to become a reality.

NEW MOURNING EVE EP! We just released our first demo EP, entitled Cellar Skies. It was recorded in an astounding two-day period, and accurately reflects our live sound due to all of the songs being first takes. The EP is 7 tracks long, clocking in at a total of 36:54, an respectable length for a CD with only 7 songs on it. From the relentless spanish feel of Finger Trippin', to the upliftingly poppy sound of Red & Blue to the jazzy bounce in Chillaxer, this CD covers each and every aspect of Mourning Eve's versatile sound. Our goal is to try something different: instead of defining our sound within a genre, we are defining our sound within a mood. A single mood that spans across many different genre's: relaxation.
