Description:
We are Dead Witness recently labeled "Most Promising Local Band" by the Upper Valley Digest. We are a rock and/or roll band currently residing in a desolate wasteland commonly referred to as North Dakota. We are best defined by our influences, which primarily include (but are not limited to) The Beatles, Oasis, Nirvana, the White Stripes, and Led Zeppelin. We do not play covers. We believe that such an act surrenders a person's means of creativity, individuality, and self-expression. But that's just us.
Band Members:
Jonathan James Tweet-guitar, vocals. Jonathan is a songwriting genius whose guitar style resembles that of Noel Gallagher and whose vocals have been compared to the late Kurt Cobain. He is 22 years old and currently studies Arts & Humanities at Northland College.
Mayor-drums and percussion. Mayor, 21 years of age, is arguably the best drummer in North Dakota, if not all of the upper Midwest. Heavily influenced by John Henry Bonham, Mayor's fills are incredibly creative, and his improvisational solo on the original “War and/or Peace” would make even Bonzo blush.
Liam Young-bass. Liam (or Will, his American pseudonym) is an 18 year-old bass prodigy who transferred here from Great Britain. His tight, thumping bass style is reminiscent of his hero, Cliff Burton. Liam is currently enrolled at the University of North Dakota.
Mike Brown-Guitar. Mike (or Mayor II)is one of the newest members to the line up. Like a true professional, he will always pulls his six string into grinding action with a screach. He is a young Randy Rhoads in the making.
Jamie Boe-Vocals. Another new edition to the band, Jamie is guaranteed to rock your socks off.

Latest News:
Dead Witness became no more on the 28th of August 2005. Before headlining the biggest show in the GF area, they split up. After the show they stopped talking to each other altogether. Later on, Jon and Mayor formed back together to become Almost Today, playing the same great music from Dead Witness. With a new second guitarist and a new singer, they switched bass players, after a long debate, back to Liam and eventually back to the name Dead Witness. And Now the Line UP IS COMPLETE!! LOOK out world it is Dead Witness and they are coming to rock you.
