THEY ARE THE BEST LOCAL BAND EVER!!!!! |
|
Music types:
Punk, Alternative
Description:
Hailing from Fort Collins, Colorado, KNEE JERK brings forth a rare pop-punk style that is both catchy and lyrically mature. Started in 1997 by Steven Garcia, a founding member of Armchair Martian, the Jerks have created a strong buzz by releasing CDs that are musically diverse while still remaining in the pop-punk realm. They've released 2 full CDs, Modern Pop Rockets (Knotknown Records 1999) and Cruel & Unusual (Knotknown Records 2001), and a 7" single (Studen' Loan Records 1997). They have also appeared on Happy Meals Vol. II (My Records 1998), Fort Collins Rocks (The Fort Collins Coloradoan 2003), and NBC's Providence (episode 76, All the King's Men, Feb. 2002).
Band Members:
Steven Garcia - Plays guitar, sings, and writes the stuff. Formed Knee Jerk in 1997.
Clint Reeves - Plays bass and drinks PBR. Joined Knee Jerk in early 2002, and reminded Steven how a real bass player sounds.
Mike Lindau - Plays drums and eats waffles like a mo-fo. Joined Knee Jerk later in 2002, and made all the earlier drummers look really bad.
