Band Members:
Fool’s Luck consists of four members who met by ‘luck’ in Muncie, Indiana where they are/were attending Ball State University. The band originally began as the acoustic duo Mariachi Assassins. Members Matt Janz (vocals and rhythm guitar) and Kenny McSpadden (lead guitar), who ‘luckily’ met through mutual friends, realized a need for more musicians and posted only one sign, inside a local coffee shop, advertising a need for a Latin percussionist and an acoustic bass player. Percussionist Lisa Smith was the first (and only, we believe) to respond to the ad. She, as ‘luck’ would have it, happened to be engaged to bass player, Kurt Franke. Once the group formed, they soon aspired to do more.
