Description:
sahffi is an all original artist based out of Baltimore. Her style is a spontaneous blend of rock, folk, and blues, stemming from her early love of classical music.
She began her musical career at an early age with the French horn. After graduating from The Peabody Conservatory of Music, sahffi went on a soul searching journey to find her true calling. She has been a music therapist for mentally handicapped adults, a private and university French horn teacher, an elementary school music teacher, and lead vocalist for cover bands.
Throughout her whole musical career, sahffi had a driving need to write intensely inspired songs and lyrics. She finally gave into the need and became a solo artist in 2001.
sahffi now works almost exclusively with her band: Shelly Work, vocals, Sean P. Finn, bass and violin, and Zach LeFeber, drums.
sahffi's debut album, "...and i am not sorry.", was released in June 2003. Recorded at Peabody Studios, the solo album reveals a truly seasoned artist, poet and musician. Her voice soars above her dynamic guitar playing, while her music weaves in and out of expressions known only to the soul.
She is currently working with Chris Bentley of The Bunker Studio on her next album, "Turning Tides", with her band and several guest artists. As the title suggests, "Turning Tides" is about the transition she has gone through over the last several years in becoming a wife and a mother.
Her performances have been praised as "inspiring," "magical" and "bewitching," and she has consistently performed throughout Maryland and Virginia.
