The Wynn Brothers Band

With a new CD of original material currently in production -- full-length debut album due out early Spring 2006 -- The Wynn Brothers Band has been showcased in Deland Original Music Festival, the largest one-day music festival in the Southeast featuring independent original music, Hard Rock Live (Orlando), the Daytona BeachSide Live Music Festival, Orlando’s Fiesta in the Park, the Winter Garden Hurricane Relief Festival, the 2005 Daytona Biketoberfest, and showcased at the 2005 FMF in Orlando and included in the same year's compilation CD. The Wynn Brothers Band was also 2005 Songwriters Showcases of America finalists for Band of the Year and Vocal Group of the Year.

Brothers Jordan and Thomas Wynn cite early exposure to bands such as The Band, Bob Dylan, The Allman Brothers, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, Van Morrison, and Tom Petty as crucial influences on their writing, and grew up in an atmosphere of musical history and creativity. From their first band Acacia, to their acoustic SecondPlaceWynn, to the now Wynn Brothers, there is much evidence of ever evolving muscularity and strength.

Their father and drummer, Tom Wynn, was a member of the 1960's Orlando band “We The People," and then as drummer for Capricorn Studios recording artists “Cowboy,” touring with The Allman Brothers Band and other highly respected musicians.

Sister Olivia Wynn, with her background in traditional choral and sacred music training, and Heather Lee Wynn (Jordan's wife), with musical and theatrical training, provide vocal harmonies soulfully complementing the family blend.

Guitarist Lee “Uncle Leroy” Simpson, provides over 35 years of experience in rock, pop, blues and bluegrass blended into a unique style truly his own. And now joining is Charlie Cleveland Brewer III from Fresh Progression adding a classic balance of mandolin and keyboards.

The Wynn Brothers Band sound is a high energy inventive blend of past and future, with compelling original material, conscious involvement and commitment to excellence in both songwriting and musicianship. Their aim is to create songs and a sound with the staying power of their musical ancestors. As a result, their music has something of a classic edge with a forward vision.
