Description:
Formed in 2003, Edge is the creation of Vocalist Eric Schmidt and Bassist, Jason Hardy. Tired of the same ole’ bar scene from previous bands, Eric and Jason decided it was time to hit the studio. After writing lyrics and music, the two teamed up with Guitarist Jon Foster, and Drummer, Dan David. The team of musicians tackled the originals until approval by all was met. Edge recorded their debut album, Pieces, at Dynamite Sound Productions in Grand Rapids, MI. Other musicians including Chad Gudding, Mark Cooper, and Chris Martin, joined Edge in the studio to add their musical talents to the album. After completion, Edge hit the radio airwaves strong in their local area of Osceola County. After performing a number of times, Edge connected with Rhythm Guitar player, Dave Armentrout. Dave added the solid commitment the band needed to perform and continue to write originals. Edge also incorporated into their album a remake of The Boxtops tune, titled The Letter. It was their way of keeping the roots of cover tunes by their side. This is a new road for the members of Edge. They are currently working on their second CD and performing wherever allowed. Edge knows that the only way to fail in this business is to give up. It has taken many years of searching, practice, gigging, and arguments to finally find the right combination of musicians. Edge is leaning toward success with their commitments to music. Edge music is unique and will surprise the listening ear.
