Description:
We are six unique individuals hailing from diverse musical backgrounds. Together we have pooled our musical talents and years of experience to form this trail-blazing unit. We are based in Greensboro, North Carolina in this great U.S. of A.
Band Members:
Hailing from Sierra Leone, West Africa is our leader Benji Kroma. He is our male vocalist. Benji envisioned a dynamic crowd-moving reggae-based group that will one day make it to the national stage. That vision is the driving force that coincidentally brought us together. A native of North Carolina, Tamara Anthony our female vocalist was born in Greensboro. Tamara's musical roots stem from the church and her school choir, with which she was involved at a very young age. Her tenacity has paid off today with her wide range of vocal talent. She hopes to one day record her own album. Our guitarist is Paul Patrice straight out of Dominica in the Carribean. Armed with over 20 years of live performance and studio work, this man is a musical giant who also happens to be our musical director. Based in Houston, Texas with his band Sanza, he has since moved to Greensboro and whenever he's not playing with SAHARA he can be found playing solo at some of our finer restaurants. He is a force to be reckoned with By way of Lauringburg, North Carolina is our bassist James Campbell. We like to think of JC as our musical and conscious movement Ambassador. Equipped with over 10 years of musical experience, JC believes that in music there are no boundaries. He knows how to put the hammer down "SAHARA Style" with his guitar, by remixing it to fit our flow. He is our public relations liaison. Beat master Randy Fuller. Whether its Dancehall, roots, soca, African, R&B or hip hop, this man can have you on your feet swaying to the sounds of SAHARA. With over 15 years of playing he is one of the best at what he does. He resides in Greensboro and his roots also stem from the church. Randy hopes to one day create his own jazz album. Our keyboardist is Princess Garner. She is pure sugar when it comes to putting the flavor in our songs. She grew up in Greensboro but her foundation is Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She grew up in the church and is still playing the piano every Sunday for which we give thanks to the Almighty. She will soon be in the studio spearheading our efforts to record our own album.
