Description:
The Inlaws & Outlaws have been together for approximately four years. They have given back to the local community over $10,000.00 cash and have helped to raise over $780,000.00 by playing for such groups as the Americam Cancer Sociaty, AmVets, fund raisers for Hospice and the Senior Citizens. The InLaws & Outlaws have just won the Band "Entertainer of the Year" award from the Florida Forest Festival in Taylor County Florida. The In-Laws & Outlaws have played for the Cattle Barrons Ball inTallahassee Florida for the past three year. Here too, the band donates all of their time to them. They have one DEMO CD out but plan a full CD in the near future. They have just completed a third original song at Summerhill Recording Studio in Cario Georgia. The song is called "Southern Boys", which band leader Rick Knowles wrote about the Wacissa River in Monticello Florida. Begining in January or February, the Band will once again open in Monticello at Maloy's Nursery on Hwy 19 north, playing for the public. As of now, their concerts are free to the public but donations are very welcome. During this event they, along with the Monticello Line Dancers, have raffle drawings and sometimes a 50/50 drawings. All are one Dollar tickets.
Band Members:
"ROCKIN' RICK" KNOWLES is the founding member of the band. Rick is from Monticello Florida and is the songwriter for the band. He is a member of Nashville Songwriters Association International. He is an award winning songwriter. Rick is the lead vocal and rythem guitar player for the group. Rick has also performed opening songs for Nashville legend, Charlie McCoy of Hee-Haw, on three different occasions. BETSY MALOY is not only a singer for the band but also keeps the programs in order and helps direct the band during concerts. She has been with the band since the begining and if from Monticello, "Wacissa River", Florida. BRAD JEWELL is the Drummer for the band and has been with the band for approximately three years now. Brad was once an Elephant trainer. His mental stability is sometimes questionable, but, because of this, he fits right in the band. JIMMY AUTREY is the Lead Guitar player and is from Wakulla County Florida. Jimmy replaced the original member, MARK REDDING, who passed away in 2002. Jimmy is one the areas best Southern Rock players. He not only gets your attention but keeps it thru-out the performance. WAYNE SANDERS is from Sale City Georgia and is the Bass player for the band. He has been with the band a little over a year and adds a good "thump" to the music. His love of the "Blues" and "Southern Gospel" fits right in with the band. Special thanks to the bands #1 Fan, DALE ELLERBE, and also to CHUCK CLEMMONS.
