Latest News:
January 21, 2004--Hailing from Erie, Pennsylvania, hard rocking band Paper St. is about to release their sophomore record, Music for the Desperate, which was recorded in Nashville with highly respected producer Chris Mara. The new material shows that this band is not only ready to take things to the next level, but that they are already there. Paper St. formed in September of 2001, and since then the band has become one of the more popular acts on the regional music scene. The buzz started with their 2002 independent release, Here To Stay. With its rude distorted guitar riffs and sweet sounding acoustics the album soon became a must-have among fans from all over the area. Songs such as “One Nite Stand” and “Can’t Go Home” quickly turned into rock anthems for Paper St. fans and their popularity grew with every show. Due to their expanding fan base, the band secured the promotional sponsorship of Labatts Blue of Labatts USA. With the backing the band finally needed, Paper St. began to take on the region with a hefty touring schedule of high-energy hard rock shows. They have shared the stage with the region’s best bands and several critically acclaimed national acts, including Pittsburgh’s favorite rock quartet The Clarks. Paper St. has also been fortunate enough to play on the same stage and frequent some of the same venues as Bruce Springsteen, Seether, SR-71, Evanescence, The Clarks, Dope, Mushroomhead, and The Queens of the Stoned Age. Plans are in place for regional touring and distribution, as Paper St. looks to show the rest of the Midwest and beyond what they are all about.
