Description:
Re-formed in 2009, this five-member band wrote and recorded two songs for "Twilight: New Moon" and, at the request of youtube fans from all over the world, completed a full length album entitled "Broken Souls". With its equal parts blend of alternative, classic and pop rock, sprinkled with ethereal vocal layering, reminiscent of The Cranberries, Enya, Sarah McLachlan and Evanescence all rolled into one, this band has attracted attention in France, Poland and the U.K. The Mending Seed is capable of producing driving, high-energy rock, relaxing, mystical ballads and everything in between with a fan base of all ages.
Band Members:
Kristin "Frass" Coppee originally formed this band in 2003 as the singer and primary songwriter. She is also one of the producers of the debut album. Drawing inspiration from real life experiences, she tends to revel in the raw, emotional and often dark side of life and relationships, yet a ray of hope is ever present in her lyrics.
Brian Stewart, the most experienced of the members and the only original member besides Frass, plays bass, records and produces with Frass. Without him, The Mending Seed would be lost.
Robb Parker, guitarist, is one of the newest members. His lead guitar riffs are inspired by his classic rock idols and add just the right touch. Though Frass has known him for more than a decade, his ability to play guitar was his best kept secret...until recently.
Dave Worthen was brought on board just recently to relieve Frass of keyboard duties on some of the faster, driving songs so she could work her magic behind the microphone. When Frass was trying to decide on how to go about finding a keyboard player, Dave, a long-time friend, kept popping up in her mind so she finally mustered up the courage, asked him to join and it just so happened he was secretly hoping to find a band to play with. It was meant to be.
Bertrand Coppee, the drummer, is the Frenchman with a mysterious past. His complex rhythms and monster drum set are inspired by his idol, Mike Portnoy. Frass always joked about marrying the next drummer of The Mending Seed to keep him in the band. Then the joke became a reality.
