Description:
Biography Picture Me Broken won a 2009 MTV VMA for Best Bay Area Breakout Artist. Upon hearing Picture Me Broken, one would be surprised to know that they are only 16 years old and are currently high school Juniors. "No F-ing way!" said Michael Erler of Spectrum Magazine. Picture Me Broken refuses to conform to the genre of Disney-esque music that is expected from kids our age. "We rock hard. Our shows are active and high energy to go with our sound" says lead singer Brooklyn Allman, daughter of legendary rocker Gregg Allman. The apple did not fall far from the tree, Brooklyn has pipes and songwriting talent, she is blazing her own trail without riding any coattails.

Picture Me Broken met in the 3rd grade. They formed a band in 7th grade and played covers under the name Lane Four. Four months after their first show at a church festival they were live on KFOX radio blasting out Heart and Led Zep covers to an audience of 300,000 listeners. The following summer they won a cover band contest and opened a side stage for the Doobie Brothers Summer Send Off Concert in the Bay Area.

Upon submitting their first original recordings to Linkin Park's Rock The Revolution Contest, ("Blind" & "One Foot Out The Door") Lane Four were in fact voted in by fans and selected in the final round by MTV2 to once again open a side stage at Shoreline Amphitheater for Projekt Revloution, sharing a stage with some of their favorite bands like Attreyu and Hawthorne Hieghts. All of this before any of them turned 16 years old.

Realizing that the band name Lane Four represented them as a cover band, they changed the band name to a more genre appropriate name and began performing and writing as Picture Me Broken, with all original founding members who met in the third grade. PMB describe their genre as "Popcore". "We blend styles from melodic female fronted bands with hard driving instrumentals from hardcore bands, and synth riffs mingled in."

Under the new band name, Picture Me Broken submitted their track "Live Forever" to Ourstage.com and once again found themselves honored with a victory for Best Hard Rock Song as well as winning the grand prize for best video over all genres for "Live Forever". They won Best Hard Rock Song in Feb. for "Dearest I'm So Sorry", and followed that up with yet another Ourstage victory that ultimately won them the 2009 VMA for Best Bay Area Breakout Artist featuring an MTV broadcast of the live performance video of "Dearest I'm So Sorry". Last summer the band had a blazing debut performance at Warped Tour SF that they earned on E.I.Y. Radio playing The Kevin Says Stage In November PMB won yet another battle and found themselves opening at the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco opening for Saosin, P.O.S., and Eye Alaska on the West Coast leg of the Pac Sun Tour.

With over 100 live shows under their belt including legendary venues such at The Whisky A Go Go, San Francisco's Bottom Of The Hill & Shoreline Amphitheater, TV and video shoots, the band is developing their own style and sound and loyal following. They network online daily while building their fan base via facebook, myspace, twitter and Youtube. Their story has only just begun.

INFLUENCES: Brooklyn Allman- Brooklyn is classically trained on piano and enjoys a variety of music. Her favorite bands include AFI, My Chemical Romance. BlessTheFall & Choidos. In spite of her rock n roll pedigree, Brooklyn does not pull many influences from bands of past generations but Ann Wilson of Heart is a huge inspiration. Brooklyn prefers to pave her own way and make music that is young and fresh and not recreate versions of music that has already been done in the 70's. "My dad's influence only reaches as far as my desire to be a rock singer" says Brooklyn. Brooklyn also won athlete of the year at her high school for her awesome swimming and water polo skills.

Band Members:
Nick Loiacono- Nick has always been a Zeppelin fan and his inspiration for picking up a guitar was Jimmy Page. He now draws influence from Slash of Guns n' Roses and Velvet Revolver, as well as Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold. More recently, he has become enamored with Screamo and Hardcore bands such as The Devil Wears Prada and Greeley Estates, greatly affecting and influencing his writing and playing style. Can we just say- Nick looks the part as well; tall, blonde, skinny as a rail with hair that sweeps across his face, Nick looks like a rock star.

Austin Dunn- Austin draws his influence from bands such as Blessthefall, Avenged Sevenfold, Paramore, Tool, and Shavo Odadjian of System of a Down. He loves the sound of a deep, yet edgy, and definitely loud bass, filling the roles of bassist and rhythm guitarist all at once.

Connor Lung: At age 15 Connor was endorsed by Shine Drums. He has been playing drums since he was 8 years old. He draws his influence from all genres of music. His performance is high energy and extremely animated!
