Description:
Northern Connecticut is an unlikely spawning ground for European influenced melodic metal, but Tolland’s own Icon of Entropy is quickly proving to be a force to be reckoned with in the New England heavy metal scene. Formed in early 2004, “Icon” is composed of five young, multi-talented instrumentalists. Michael Sutcliffe provides the powerful, growling vocals of Icon of Entropy. The young Brian Moniz works his magic behind the keyboard, adding much depth to the music. Patrick Fallon provides the deep, crunching rhythms and searing leads of Icon of Entropy. Greg Kammel is the man behind the thundering basslines, intricate and precise. Last, but certainly not least, Jordan Kimball harnesses almost a decade of drumming experience into creating the backbone of Icon of Entropy, powerful beats complete with double bass. This talent and devotion has given Icon of Entropy the opportunities to play with such bands as In Flames, Dark Funeral, Soil, Symphony X, and many more. Icon has also won Battles of the Bands in the Connecticut area in 2005, 2006, and 2007. With no member above nineteen years of age, these accomplishments are that much more impressive. Valhalla is the limit for this talented, young melodic death metal band.
