Description:
******************************************************************************* That which you give to the world you shall receive back by three the threefold theory....... *******************************************************************************

The bands very name implies its philosophy. Whether it is good or bad, a person will receive what they give by three. But what began as three friends uniting against the current climate in the music scene to write and perform music from the heart has taken on a life of its own. With the success of the bands debut album loveHATElive (engineered and produced by Aaron Fisher of 101 Productions, whose recent credits include Prosthetic Records recording artists Byzantine), Threefold Theory is connecting with fans through its cathartic music. While music can be an escape, it can also be a release. This is the approach that Threefold Theory employs in its songwriting, and this style is evident in loveHATElive. The CD was independently released on July 8, 2005 through distribution partners CD Baby and Tower Records, and the initial pressing has sold out. The CD, including individual tracks, are now available through all major digital distribution services, including iTUnes, as well as hard copies through CD Baby, Yahoo!Music and Best Buy.com. Whether its the driving, hard hitting The Letting Go or the pop-infused anti-love song Goodbye, Miss Beautiful, Threefold Theory songs pull on the common threads that bind us all, and are themselves bound by sing-song choruses and distinct melodies. Threefold Theory has built a regional fan base through constant live performances, and has gained both national and international fans through the use of creative Internet marketing. The band has also garnered recognition from local radio stations by receiving air play during primetime hours and can now be heard on seven radio stations throughout the East and Midwest. Threefold Theory has had the honor of supporting national acts Seether, Crossfade, Cold, Dark New Day, Smile Empty Soul, Huck Johns and Revelation Theory. Threefold Theory was featured on the cover of WVs Vibe Entertainment Guide in October 2005 and was awarded Track of the Day by Garageband Records for the songs The Letting Go and Tonight. What began as a way for three friends to say something positive and meaningful has paid off in dividends. As the band continues to see success, Threefold Theory will continue to be guided by its founding principles, holding tight to the common threads that speak so loudly to its fans. ------Threefold Theory ********************************************************************************

Band Members:
Founding Members Pete Hurt, Scott Niles and Nik Phelps decided to form a band based on a novel idea: write and perform music from the heart – genres and commercial radio formats be damned. And since winter 2003, Threefold Theory has been and will be all about giving each performance as if it were the last. People can recognize and connect with such unbridled emotion, and it is the band’s goal to give this to every person with the hope that they will return it.

That being said, Threefold Theory is a rock band without borders. With far too many influences to cite, Threefold Theory can run the gamut of musical genres at the drop of a hat. It is this diversity that sets the band apart from many of its contemporaries.

Latest News:
Hey guys, here's a long overdue THREEFOLD THEORY News Update! First, we'd like to thank EVERYONE that came out and rocked with THREEFOLD THEORY this past weekend at The Blue Parrot in Charleston, WV during the Charleston Sternwheel Regatta. We had some awesome crowds and everyone had a blast! Thanks to Kimberly, Prez of Kaos Booking and Management in San Diego, CA, for flying in to spend Regatta Weekend with 3fT and to Kaos cohort Liz from Baltimore, MD, for making the trip as well! The ladies took literally hundreds of pictures over the weekend and filmed the shows, so hopefully we will be able to post some video clips soon. In the meantime, Kimberly has posted over 100 pics from the weekend and you can check them out by clicking on the link in our myspace comments.

The band received some awesome news Saturday night from the Miami Board-Up Committee. THREEFOLD THEORY has received a verbal confirmation from the committee that the band will be kicking off the Board-Up Miami Professional Wakeboard Competition and Music Festival at Miami Marine Stadium in Miami, FL on Saturday, March 10th, 2007. Board-Up Miami is literally one of the largest professional wakeboard competitions on the east coast and the band will be kicking off the music festival that closes the competition. The competition and music festival will be broadcast live locally in Miami, and the committee is working to gain national tv exposure as well. This event will be attended by thousands of people from all over the world, as it also kicks off Spring Break 2007 on Miami Beach! We're definitely looking forward to rockin' Miami and should have additional details within the next couple of weeks when the contract is finalized. You can check out the 2006 Board-Up Miami Wakeboard and Music Festival by visiting www.board-up.net/

Now to the present! THREEFOLD THEORY will be rockin' The Sound Factory, 812 Kanawha Blvd, Charleston, WV, this Friday night, September 8, 2006 with our friends Split Nixon from Ashland, KY and Eye Alone. We have played several shows with Split Nixon over the years, but it's been about a year since our last show with the guys. For those of you not familiar with Split Nixon, they are a kickass rock band based in Ashland, KY and toured the US last summer with Saliva, so we're definitely looking forward to rockin' the stage with Split again. Eye Alone is regrouping after a line-up change and we're looking forward to rockin' the stage with those guys as well! Showtime is 10:30PM with Eye Alone kicking off the show, followed by THREEFOLD THEORY and Split Nixon. Admission at the door is $5 and this is a 21+ show! Come early, stay late, PARTY LIKE A ROCKSTAR! Doors open at 9:30PM and we advise you to come early to make sure that you can get a ticket! Additionally, this will be our last show in Charleston, WV until the end of October 2006, so make plans to be there this Friday night, Sept 8th!! THREEFOLD THEORY will be entering the studio the first week of October 2006 to begin recording our sophomore release which is expected to be release in Spring 2007. In the meantime, you can still pick up our debut release "loveHATElive" at any live show or by visiting http://cdbaby.com/cd/threefold
