Back in 1980 I was completely ran over by a Z28 Chevy Camaro. It ran over my foot and continued up my legs and up the middle of my back and over my head. THAT HURT!! Its a good thing I drank that quart of COLT 45 or it would have really hurt. Mud, Saved My Life. I don't know why it didn't kill me. It is a miracle for me to still be living. There hasn't been one day since it happened, that I haven't thought about it. I had a tread mark in the middle of my back. Therefore, there isn't much that can happen to me that really bothers me all that much. It Does, But It Doesn't. I write and sing about those things. Every day of life is a gift. We also utilize Chris Sellman, Vinnie Hunter, Spence Lechlater and Spencer Harding on bass guitar and Steve Cecil on Keyboards depending on their availability.

Biography

From The Steel Mill, To The Stage, is the story behind Lead Vocalist, Eddie Crowe. Song writer and Founder of the Blues Unchained. Founder ? " Yep! " " I Found BOBBY " BLUE " PERRY. " " THE MASTER LINK in the BLUES UNCHAINED." " The instrumentation is his creation. " Eddie is a former, Veteran, Steelworker, in his Hometown of Baltimore, Maryland.

Eddie worked at Bethlehem Steel for 29.5 years, until the corporation went bankrupt, stripping him of his retirement pension and benefits. If ever there was a reason to scream the blues, in the 21st century, thats a good start. Eddies love of live music began as a small child. He was always right up in front of the band, whenever his parents would go out to family oriented social club events. There were also several bands in his neighbor hood. When they practiced he would hear it and be right there on the scene, listening and learning.

All of Eddies free time, when not working rotating shifts was spent on the Live Music Scene. Eventually he started playing drums and then, after the untimely death of his friend and mentor Lightninbug Rhodes, he became a singer. Eddie took note of who the most authentic, realistic sounding blues players were, at the local jam sessions that he attended frequently. In 2000 he applied for and got a daylight job. The job, as a mechanic in the BULL GANG meant doing industrial mechanical build up and prep work every day, when he could have cruised a little on the evening shifts. Eddie wanted to form a band of his own and felt the extra work was worth it.

Some of the people that he jammed with or played in bands with are: James Cotton Blues Band Walter Lightninbug Rhodes ( former guitarist, band leader of Wilson Pickett ) Johnathon Burton ( guitarist for The Manhattans ) Guy Phillips ( guitarist for The Comets ) Little Mike and the Tornadoes Eddie Guitar Burns Big Boy Henry Shrimp City Slim Max Bangwell, drums and Rick Reed, Bass ( former rhythm section William Clark ) Bray Ghelia, ( Former member of The Eagles / Firefall / plays multiple instruments ) Drink Small ( The Blues Doctor ) Jumpin Johnny Sansone Saffire, ( The Uppidy Blues Women ) Skeeter Brandon, ( kbd,Clarence Carter, Shi Lites ) Andy Walo, ( former guitarist for Junior Wells ) Big Jack Johnson, ( The Oil Man ) Jessie Anderson and the Steamrollers and a multitude of other renoun musicians in his 33 years on the live music scene. The Blues Unchained is a band formed through years of research. The who's, who, of the blues musicians in this region, as Eddie puts it.

I couldnt ask for a better group of musicians to get the job done. The band paints the picture I just do the captions. They make my job easy to do. When you see the Blues Unchained LIVE, you will notice that when I'm on stage and not singing my focus isn't on the audience. My focus is on the band, because I am as entertained by them as anyone at the show. When I used to play drums for Lightningbug Rhodes, I always felt like I wanted to be in front, watching him play, and listening from a better vantage point. You actually miss alot when you are on stage. I used to be in the back looking forward. Now that i'm up front, I look back. I'm actually a spectator, a fan, I'm in the audience like everyone else. The band entertains me. I'm just a singer. The band is their own entity. They just let me sing with them, and I'm glad they do. THANKS GUYS....EC
