Heavy metal group Consider Denial is a fairly new and unique group formed in Mason City, IA. in late April 2005. In a matter of only just under a year Consider Denial has played quite a few vigorous live shows across Iowa, released their first live demo, and is quickly building a very strong local following. The guys in the band, Jess Giery (vocals), Justin Paulsen (guitar),Seth Dority (bass) and Brock Dority (drums) have developed a sound, by far unlike anything else in the area. Madness and adrenaline and intensity and war. From fast melodic riffs, to slow threatening breakdowns put together with angry yet smart and meaningful lyrics, every show brings a larger and crazier crowd with tons of energy. Consider Denial is direct and to the point. Not overly complicated, while maintaining intensity, they strive to penetrate into the listener, grab their attention at a gut, instinctual level and leave the impression that what they’ve heard is their own. The music might be described as hard-core and powerful, yet still maintaining a beat that grips. The listener is unable to resist the hypnotic presence of rhythm, which is the focus of Consider Denial’s approach. The band's history spans only a short while yet its member’s individual careers date back to countless prior bands. After an unmentionable amount of hours playing in basement and garage bands, the members came together with serious intentions. It can only get better from here.
