Jeremy Atkins, a Rome, Georgia native, is a Contemporary Christian songwriter and musician now located in Ohio. His music can be described as passionate and meaningful piano ballads that deliver the message of Jesus Christ in a simple manner. He has over 20 years of musical experience that have lead up to where he is today. At the age of five he first began taking piano lessons. He also participated in marching, concert and jazz bands during high school. Jeremy learned the flute in middle and high school but found a love for percussion instruments as well. He played the bells and xylophone in the pit for Armuchee High School. His senior year, he served as assistant drum major and was selected as “Most Talented.” Jeremy’s music can best be compared to that of well-known Christian artists such as Rich Mullins, Steven Curtis Chapman, Mercy Me, or Chris Rice. His simple lyrics are well-written and are meant to deliver the message of love and grace of Jesus Christ. “Songs for You,” “On My Knees,” and “I Need You” have all reached the top 25 on Soundclick.com. After high school, Jeremy continued songwriting and piano lessons. He brought home two superior ratings for piano performance at the Junior Music Festival at Berry College several years after graduation. It was at this time that he began seriously writing songs and even took up teaching himself to play the acoustic guitar (which you will hear him playing on his cd in the songs, “Hanging Around,” “On My Knees,” and “Make Me Holy.”) In 2004, Jeremy sat down in his home recording studio and produced his first album, “Walk With You,” which introduces 10 of his original songs. These songs are on sale on sites such as iTunes and Rhapsody for individual download. The album is also available in its entirety as a digital download on Buy.com . Now in the year 2006, Jeremy is looking forward to his next project “Not Alone” which will be released mid-2007. He is very excited about this project because it will allow him to further reach the unsaved and be a witnessing tool that all Christians can use. Jeremy hopes to get into the studio very soon to begin recording these new songs that God is blessing him with. Expect more of Jeremy’s music in 2007 with a brand new CD and appearances at local Cincinnati and Dayton area coffee houses. Jeremy’s music will continue to be played online and hopefully soon in local radio stations.

December 9, 2006 I am progressing very well with songwriting! Can you believe God has given me 22 songs to work with for my next album? I will start the first session of recording my new album the first week in January. I hope to wrap up recording no later than April 15, 2006. I will be doing a lot more promotion for this album than I did with the first. We'll see how it goes! New Links added to link page: I have joined SongPlanet.com and Overplay.com. November 20, 2006 I am in the midst of writing a lot of songs right now. I have about 5 songs underway and hope to get another good 10 songs written before I choose the final track list for "Not Alone." More updates to come as progress continues. November 9, 2006 Today I began writing a new song called "All Things Considered." I'm hoping to have it on my next CD. Check back soon for some new recordings I'll be doing over the weekend!

November 8, 2006 The new JeremyAtkins.com has been launched today! I have switched hosting providers and have used a great website program. The site is very interactive and I'm hoping to add a ton of ministry tools! I have started writing new songs for a new album called "Not Alone" which I hope to have available sometime in 2007!

2-14-06: Happy Valentine's Day! Let's remember to show love to others as God has shown his love for us! In the news today, "Songs For You" hit #7 on Jamwave.com. I'm really pleased that the song is doing well on the internet charts. I should have some new songs written soon and then will begin the recording process. I am still looking at April 15, 2006 for a release date. This date is subject to change depending on my enthusiasim and my progress in the home studio. Also, check out my friend Jamie Reynolds at www.jamiereynolds.com. He's got some good stuff out there. Why not support his music by purchasing one of his CD's? Also, the links page and music page have been updated.

2-7-06: Home recording is going slow but well. The new songs are starting to pour out. I have begun 3 songs this week. At this rate I will have more time to master the album and have it ready for April.
