Sinkhole

Sinkhole is a heavy metal band hailing from North East Iowa, where metal grows in the fields and lurks in the wooded hills. It began two years ago, when four men became tired and fed up with today’s "metal". Unbeknownst to each other, Josh, Dave, Jason, and Adam, began looking to form what could be the greatest metal band in years. Their music is a mixture of old school metal with a fusion of underground death metal. Four people who were once just acquaintances formed the Anti-Trend Metal band “Sinkhole”.

Since that time they have played several shows, which include; placing in the top five of 30 bands at Breakaway Bar’s Metal Melee Battle of the Bands, after only two prior gigs, opening for Corrosion of Conformity and Motorhead at the Rave/Eagle’s Ballroom, and Thrash fest 2005 with Abstraction and Rictus Grin, among several other past dates with many fierce shows to come.

Sinkhole has no difficulty filling venues to the brim with loyal and new fans. If you’re not a fan of Sinkhole, you will be as soon as they bring darkness to you’re town. One can be certain, that when they cross the threshold into the depths of the Sinkhole, they will be surrounded by hell-fire and the damned will come alive.

Band Members:
Josh Baumgartner - Singer and Songwriter. Josh writes most of the music and tabs for the songs. Very excellent vocalist.

Jason Baumgartner - young and very talented guitarist. brother of Josh.

Adam Delphey - Can play a freakin' mean bass guitar.

Dave Pladsen - over 10 years of drumming experience.
