Description:
JB is a 4 piece band that is originally from Anadarko, OK. The band pushes to create an intense hardcore/metalcore music style. In May of 2005 the band released a demo titled "No Where" named after a local spot. Right now they are going into the studio to record an EP. Singles will be released online in December of 2005 and the album will be released to the public in early 2006! Keep an eye out.

Band Members:
Jeremiah's Bridge is a local Oklahoma band that is originaly from Anadarko, OK. The band has been together about a year and a half and shows no sign of slowing down.

Nathan Bogers(Vocals) – Once we get to know him better, we will flesh out a description of his influences and intrests!

Brian Bussell (Drums) – The man behind the kit, Brian is as "in the pocket" and rock solid as a band could hope for. Whether it's pounding out that brain numbing 16th note rhythm on the double bass drum or laying back in a gentle ballod-like groove, his tempo and energy always remain constant! Brian has been in several bands that have played many Oklahoma venues, such as: The Firehouse, The Asylum, The Samurai, and events hosted by USAO. Having been playing drums for over a decade he excels at his technique and execution while on stage. His influences are Nirvana, Lamb of God, NOFX, No Use for a Name, Rancid, Korn, Slipknot, and many others. Brian plays Pearl Drums and Sabian cymbols.

John Owings (Guitar) – Powerful is the singular word to desribe John O's play style. He keeps the hightened energy of Metal and the technicality of Progressive Rock in your face at all times. A brilliant song writer and a driving force behind the band's sound, he is definitly a force to be reckoned with while on stage. Having been playing guitar for 14 years, starting out playing grunge, then moving on to more technical styles most recently, he remembers seeing The Deftones in concert and it changing his life and outlook on music. He draws influence from bands like the Deftones, 36 Crazyfists, Norma Jean, etc. “That genre is what I feed from” Owings says “And that’s what gets me stoked about playing!” John plays Marshall amplification and Gibson guitars.

Nick Brower (Bass) – A bassist always priding himself on the tasteful use of his influences, he feels he has a lot to bring to the table with Jeremiah’s Bridge. He has been playing bass for 9 years and for him, music has no boundaries, thus even after growing up in a small town, it has not dampened his open minded play style. His main sense of influence derives from as early as Led Zepplin's John Paul Jones and Rush's Geddy Lee, all the way up to Primus' Les Claypool, Dream Theatre's John Myung, and MudVayne's Ryan Martini. Nick plays modified Fender J-Basses and Ampeg Amplification.

11/19/05 - Damn it has been a while since I have updated this site. Here is the latest news:

What is up kids. Just keeping all two of our fans updated about the EP. We go into the studio in just a few short days. One more practice and that will wrap things up. We have been working on this for two solid months. It will include four songs (Something real, All the people, The air around you, and Your Youth) a video, and some interviews. OH SNAP. That is a bargain. We will also release a one song single off the album to hand out free. That is right, FREE! This will be to whore our name out there and advertise the EP. It will be more than likely one of the songs that is offered here on myspace and purevolume.com. The single is an idea we cooked up to bring in potential fans. That could be any one of you!!!! You have the potential to be a fan! How exciting. If you like it, come back for the EP and catch us on stage. Late.

Also we have released on song (Something Real) on myspace.com/jeremiahsbridge and purevolume.com/jeremiahsbridge from our forth coming EP. This one is most likely going to be released as a single to the public. We plan to give this one out for free! Right now we areworking on the business side of things and details for the album. It has already been titled Destinition: Tomorrow. This phrase was coined by Donovan. Keep an eye out for the rest of the stuff and I will let you know more as it happens.

12/15/05 5 out of 5 satrs on garageband.com in the first round!

Well we were rated 5 out of 5 stars on a site called garageband.com. Hell yeah!!!! Here is how the site works. You post your music on the site and you are voted on by your peers. The music competes in a contest for two rounds. We have just finished the first round. Hopefully we can hold strong in the second round. What ever the outcome, we did better than our old demo did that we posted on there 6 months ago. That music was eaten alive. Eventhough we were gutted last time by reviewers, one of our songs was voted voted TRACK OF THE DAY (Swept Back to Life). It recieved this from the site itself, not from a peer vote. At least someone liked it. What can you do but to regroup and try to write better music and practice. And that is what we did. We worked very hard. And so far it has paid off. I have know clue what happens after the second round and you win or rank high. I guess we will cross that bridge when and if it comes. Late!

Thanks to you all, John O.

12/22/05

Here is a message we recieved from garageband.com:

Congratulations! As a result of some very enthusiastic reviews from GarageBand.com members, "Something Real" will be Track of the Day at GarageBand.com. For 24 hours on Saturday, the 24th of December, 2005 (PST) "Something Real" will be featured on GarageBand.com's Hard Rock front page. The address for this page will be: http://www.GarageBand.com/go/IYUROLGVQ0

So make sure you've got a current photo of Jeremiah's Bridge uploaded, and then enjoy your time in the spotlight. We've created a nifty "Track of the Day at GarageBand.com" badge which you're eligible to display on your own website. It's just one more way to get the word out about how good your stuff is. Just click on the following link to pick up a GarageBand.com Badge for your website. Best wishes from all at GarageBand.com and keep up the great work!

Nick, our bass player, was also awarded for a few things. Best Bass overall, week of 19 Dec 2005 and Best Bass in Hard Rock, week of 19 Dec 2005. Congrats for him.

We are now in round 2 of the review process. Only the top 10% make it this far and the reviewers become much more picky and harder on us. We ended round 1 with a 5 out of 5 stars and now we are sitting on a 3.6. That should let you know how hard round two is. It's fucking hard. I am still proud of all the guys that we made it this far. It is nice to know one of our songs is liked by more than 2 people. Late!!!!

1/28/2006 General updage!

Now that we are passed all of the garageband.com hoopla we started practacing a lot and gearing up for shows. As you can see we have two upcoming shows and we hope to stay busy in 2006. 2/13/07

Hello everyone! Recently Donovan our vocalist chose to part ways with the band and it is with heavy hearts that we chose to regroup, recoop, and push forward. We of course wish our friend the best in all he does however we can't wait forever before we get back out into the thick of the music scene and keep our dreams alive. Every band faces hardships and we have damn well seen our share. Yet we are not detured and are going to begin auditioning vocalists to fill the role of our fallen comrade, Donovan.

What is Jeremiah's Bridge is looking for in a vocalist?

Musicianship - The want, the need, and will to continue honing your craft.

Reliabiltiy - Shows are our lifeblood and they should mean as much to you as they do to us.

Family - Jeremiah's Bridge is a family atmosphere. Me casa es su casa. More than band mates we are all great friends and we value that quality. Jeremiah's Bridge is a no-drama band and a strong friendship amongst members reinforces that aspect.

Energy - Alittle proactive energy goes along way and this band is no different. Put the energy, the time, and the love into this band and you will see the results.

Stability - Different then reliability, stability means to us is knowing that you have our backs and we have yours. Through thick and thin the band is our lives and our dreams.

______________________________________________

Singing is a must and something that seperates our sound from other hardcore / metalcore groups. Having a sense of melody and pitch all goes back to musicianship; take your vocals seriously.

Screaming has a special part in our music. Our climax's and the attitude the music takes depends alot on the ability of the vocalist to be aggressive with their voice.

Stage Presence is a plus but with stage time / experience comes stage presence. This is not a requirement but benefit.

The Experience:

With Jeremiah's Bridge having played dozens of shows both in Oklahoma and in the surrounding states there is a sense of "road-worthyness" that factors in. You will be performing infront of new faces every show. We expect to perfect our sound and material in rehearsals until we feel the music is road-worthy. With 35+ years of music experience in the band we ask that you not be intimidated but instead to rise up and know how important your role is in the band. We are not looking for cockiness but a strong sense of one's own talent and goals. The band's goals are to be playing music for a living and making the music that we feel passionately about. Love the music, live the music, be the music.
