Description:
Hard rock band, Labeled, was formed in 1999 by two teenagers raised on the farm and on country music. Over the years into adulthood, Labeled fell in love with the study of rock music, and they experimented with many different styles, favoring Led Zeppelin, Motley Crue, Nirvana, and Godsmack, to name a few. But it was the innate country influences that really helped complete Labeled's unique sound. To show their appreciation for their roots, they often will perform songs by their hero, Johnny Cash, because in their opinion, "He was the greatest rock star that ever sang country." Labeled has played professionally for the last five years in small-to-medium-sized venues within 200 miles of home, where they performed cover tunes in four-hour marathon shows. Their tongue-in-cheek sets included classic rock, punk, metal, country, and even rap. They have built a regional fan base of over 2,000, with a faithful contingent traveling to every show. Over the years, though, they have compiled a large catalog of very serious original songs, and it was these songs that landed them opening spots for nationally prominent bands such as Hinder, Buckcherry, Theory of a Deadman, Alice Cooper, Tesla, Slaughter, Jackyl, and Warrant. Labeled is shedding the "cover" format and will now be performing its own music in 30-, 60-, and 90-minute sets. The band has one of the keenest abilities in the music industry to alter its songwriting style to reflect its divergent influences, so the new original format is certain to mystify and entertain both young and old.
