Description:
Hampton Roads/Virginia Beach VA A grunge-like trio garage band influenced by Nirvana and other bands of the early 90's,the cure,bush,the beatles, and many other bands.We are very adrenadline pumping on stage but at the same but in a laid back form of manner. We don't like to participate in crowd-pumper sayings like Hello Virginia Beach! or anything that seems to suck-up to the audience.We also do not believe in having a frontman and do not wish to be categorized by having one. We play originals and a few covers here and there but ones that only die-hard nirvana fans would know. We like to usually end our shows with a soft song followed by Andrew Diving through the drumset. We do not have big ambitions towards fame but also don't mind being called sell-outs for getting somewhere as long as we stay true to our music.
Band Members:
JASON NEWCOMER plays rythm/lead guitar and is a back-up vocalists. He writes instrumentally a large portion of our songs.His guitar licks are mostly 2 to 5 power-chord progressions with various bends and feedback teqniques implied. Inspired By: Bush, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Greenday
ANDREW NICKELL plays bass/and sings lead. His bass lines walk and lyrics are metaphorical,rebellious,sacrcastic,very personalized and usually begin as poetry. Inspired By: Nirvana, The Pixies, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Cure, David Bowie, The New York Dolls, and many other bands and artists
RANDY REEVES plays drums/back-up vocals. His Drums are very pumping,full of fills, and heavy but not drowned with double bass like many drummers. Randy plays guitar as well and has beautiful hair. Inspired By: Nirvana, Tool, Sublime, and many other bands
We are all (currently) in high school and take our music very serously but in a non-arrogant way. We also are open to accepting a lone of $3000, a van, or a place to sleep, Thank you.
EQUIPMENT: Jason: -Epiphone Les Paul Special with broken volume knob -Ibanez Toneblaster cab 4x12 -Line 6 spider II head - RCA stereo speaker (monitor) not connected to anything(footrest) Andrew: -Epiphone Thunderbird IV Bass -Silvertone bass -Galien Krueger Fullstack(ampeg cab 1 15', gk 4x10') -various effects pedals that he never uses -Soundtech 160 watt pa -shitty microphone Randy: -Tama rockstar Drums -Pearl Floor Tom, Tama Floor tom, Tama Tom and Snare - Ziligan cymbals (1 at least) ,20', 20', 18', 16' 18' cymbal with crack in it, and highhat. Aquarium heads -very shitty microphone (which is now broken after Randy got mad at Andrew) -fat boy drum throne and pacific double bass pedal
We also have about 25 various cables but only 5 of them work.
