Description:
Cabin Row began in the small town of Brooklyn, Indiana back in 2002. The name "Cabin Row" is symbolic for the road that the original band members grew up on. We have gone from playing around campfires, as kids, to forming a professional band. We began our venture playing at a small town pub called "Catchers" at which time, strictly by coincidence, we were "discovered" by the owner of a wellknown local pub leading to a much steadier schedule at the various "Joe's Bar & Grills" - mainly, "Joe's 4" in Mooresville, IN. We have played at such functions as outside "Turn One" at the Indy 500 in 2003, the 4th of July "Bash in the Park" at Jimmy Nash Park in Martinsville, IN, at the Blue Knights Police Convention, Paragon's Homecoming, the grand Reopening of "Joe's 4" in Mooresville, hosted by Q95 and well-known radio personality, Laura Steel and, most recently, the 2004 "I Survived New Year's Eve 2004" celebration at Joe's 4 in Mooresville, IN. We will be competing in local talent contests during 2005 and look forward to many years of sharing our incredible love of music with everyone!

Band Members:
J.C. Worley - Lead Singer, Songwriter and Acoustic Guitarist, the "man behind the band," responsible for Cabin Row's existence; Marty Poorman, Lead guitarist, also with the well-known local country band, "Big Country"; Christian "Pick" Nield, Bass Guitarist; Bobby "Thunderchicken" Kelley, "Extreme" drums; Libby Lowry, and Keyboardist and back-up vocalist.

UPDATE TO "NATHAN SIMS BENEFIT" ...

Success! Success! Success! That pretty much says it all ... . At the end of the event, we were able to present over $8,000 to Nathan's family to help offset expenses associated with his untimely death. Thank you to all who attended and were instrumental in helping us make this worthwhile undertaking a HUGE SUCCESS!

Keep checking our page ... we will keep you posted on upcoming events!!

Until next time ... : )

JULY, 2006 ...

Hello everyone. Hope the last year has been good to you. We have been busy playing in various local pubs, etc. We have also been conducting "Open Mike" nights at both the "Joe's" in Mooresville and, more recently, the "Joe's" at the Ameriplex in Decatur Township. We have recently expanded our venue to "Destinations" in Pittsboro, IN (home of Jeff Gordon) and will be playing there this month (July 7th) and at various other times throughout the year. We continue to play at the various "Joe's Bar & Grills" and welcome all.

On a more serious note - on Saturday, July 15th we have organized and will be headlining the evening's entertainment for the "Benefit for Nathan" (Nathan Wayne Sims, the local 17-yr. old recently killed in a bicycling accident).

In addition to "Cabin Row," "Take the Highway" and "My Delilah" will be providing musical entertainment as well. There will be numerous food vendors, an auction, "haircuts-in-the-street by Missi," etc. - all proceeds of which will be given to Nathan's family.

This worthwhile event will take place on Main Street, in front of the Firehouse, in Brooklyn, Indiana from 5:00 p.m. - ? We hope to see you there. : )

We will have more news to report shortly ... check back next month for "updates" on the band and their events. In the meantime - HAVE A GREAT JULY! : )

NEWS - MARCH, 2005 ...

We just received notification that we have been invited to compete in the upcoming Colgate Country Showdown! We will be performing/competing "live" at 8 Seconds on Saturday, March 5th so be sure and COME ON DOWN to support us!

First, we have just completed our 1st CD entitled, "What She Don't Know" which contains all original material. If you would like a copy of it, send us an email at the email address on this website with your information or come see us at Joe's 4 in Mooresville during one of our weekend gigs or during "Open Mike Night" every Wednesday from 8:00 - 11:00 p.m.

UPDATE - UPDATE - UPDATE: We will be competing in the Colgate Country Showdown at "8 Seconds Saloon" on Saturday, March 5th at 10:00 p.m. (limited seating available so come early; $5.00 cover [you can take your cover charge "bracelet" to Joe's 4 in Mooresville after the competition and turn it in for a $5.00 bar credit]). We are VERY excited because we have received alot of very positive feedback surrounding the music CD we submitted (for consideration as a contestant in this competition) from various individuals connected with the competition and are hoping to be declared the "WINNER" of Saturday's competition - maybe the Winner of the entire competition ... but we'll take things one step at a time - so . . . COME CHEER US ON TO VICTORY!!

We want to extend our sincere "Thanks" to all of our GREAT fans - YOU are the reason we are WHERE we are today ... and WHY we are able to maintain the strength and conviction to continue to push forward on the long road to success!
