Description:
Small Town Murder formed out of a few local Chicagoland area metal and punk bands as somewhat of a side project. After a good jam session, the guys of STM decided to try to stay together as a full time band. The sound of the band has evolved into a vortex, pulling on influences from all over the metal and hardcore spectrum, as well as some unexpected jazzier moments. Whiplash enducing riffs merge with destructive breakdowns, colliding into machine-gun blastbeats, always balanced by a healthy dose of both melody and dissonance. All together, the band create a sonic onslaught full of youthful energy and a desire to produce something original for the kids to mosh to in the stagnant world of modern rock.
