Description:
Well an alloy is basically a metal composed of many other types of metal. Since our band writes and plays a variety of genres of music including Rock, Grunge, Metal, Blues, and Funk, I thought the name suits us well. We've been together since around late May to early June of 2004 and we have 5 completed originals and about another 5 in the making. Here's a list of our influences:
Led Zeppelin, The Who, Metallica, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, Temple Of The Dog, AC/DC, Black Sabbath, Rush, Yes, The Doors, Guns N' Roses, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Korn, Pantera, Pink Floyd, Rage Against The Machine, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Slayer, Dream Theater, Symphony X, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Queen, Limp Bizkit and Tool plus many more, you get the picture
Band Members:
William H. Perry (Guitar) - This guitarist has blues in his soul and it shows through in his playing. His influences include many blues guitarists such as Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix. Though he doesnt want to conform to having a favorite band, especially one so cliche, he admits that Led Zeppelin is his favorite band. He loves Gibsons and PRS's.
Patrick Engro (Guitar) - This Metal driven guitarist is in love with a variety of types of music, especially Symphony X and other prog bands. His influences include guitarists such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Kirk Hammett, and John Petrucci. He loves Ibanez brand guitars and the mixture of Bill's blues sound and Pat's metal sound blends very nicely in our music.
Mike DiRenzo (Drums) - Yeah that's me. I love music and I grew up listening to it. I love Rock, Metal, Grunge, Jazz, Blues, Classic Rock just about anything that I would call music. Can't stand most rap (there are few exceptions) and I have no tolerance for emo, sceamo, punk pop or any of that crap. I use a Pearl Export Radical Fusion set with an added 8-inch, 13-inch, and 16-inch floor tom. Vic Firth sticks, Sabian cymbals, and Drum Workshop (DW) hardware (cymbal stands, double-bass drum pedal, etc...) and a sweet Roc N' Soc Hydraulic throne (thanks guys). I'm in love with metal and grunge and Metallica would probably be my favorite band and the reason why I started playing drums.
Chris Dellinger (Bass) - Crazy monkey who loves Limp Bizkit. Uses a kick-ass Hartke bass amp and will soon be using a nice Peavey 5-String bass.
Lucas Bell (Vocals) - This newest band member has joined and whas made this band complete. He is a wonderful poet and lyricist and has great tone.
