Description:
Trial By Error is a band that got started four years ago in Lincoln, Nebraska by four musicians who all went to junior high and highschool together. The four of us range in age from 18-19, and have been playing original music at venues in both Lincoln and Omaha for the last four years. We recorded an EP at Presto studios and released it in 2003. We've played shows at venues such as The Cog Factory (RIP) and The Ranch Bowl in Omaha and at The Joyo, The Royal Grove and Knickerbockers in Lincoln. We've also played random shows scattered throughout Nebraska. We've played in front of crowds as small as 5, and as large as 350. We've built a cult following centered around Knickerbockers but enjoy playing smaller shows just for the experience. Over the winter we are putting the final touches on the pre-planning of our second EP, and then recording it as soon as the new year hits. A CD release show will follow as well as more shows promoting the EP. We hope to play more house shows and parties then we have in the past so that we can get the EP out to more people.
Band Members:
We have four members: Lead Guitar, Vocals, Drums and Bass.
Our songs are a colaboration of all four of our inputs. Obviously our lead guitarist concentrates heavily on the riffs and main hooks of the songs, our Vocalist writes on lyrics on spot, and the Bass and Drums are left to fill in the gaps. Our musical tastes are similar enough to provide musical creativity, but different enough to allow freedom and fresh input. There may be one specific genre of music not of all us like, but rest assure there are numerous genres of music that we all equally love and that comes out in the music. All of us are mainly influenced by Rock, in different forms. One member enjoys more metal rock, while the other perfers punk, and another likes Alternative the best. Having different views on Rock is put on the back burner because of numerous bands that all four enjoy. Bands like Staind, Cold, Spineshank, 311 (hometown), 40 Below Summer and most importantly, The Deftones.
The lyrics show everything from love to death, dreams and drugs as well as life changing experiences, relationships and politics.
When we met we were strangers, now we are like brothers. We continue to play in the hope that maybe some day a whole bunch of people might hear us all at the same time, doing what all love to do.
...and after that, nothing else matters.
