Description:
Mofessor, aka, MAURICE "MO" McCONNELL is no new comer to the blues and has been a solid fixture on the Northwest Blues scene for 29 years. A masterful piano player blended with a rich soulful voice Mofessor is a man of extraordinary talents who's distinct style stands out.Having toured the U.S.A. several times, mainly as a sideman Mofessor took the next logical step forming the band "MOFESSOR" in 2003, releasing his first CD named for the original hit song "RED HOT BOOGIE". For Blues lovers in and around the northwest, Mofessor has been a treat for his fans every where. His styles and inspirations move from a Longhair New Orleans groove to a Chicago Otis Spann boogie, and then out of no where the guitar gets slung on and we're in Texas! Mofessor can expand on any kind of music, using his unique abilities to take a song in any direction, turn it inside out, then bring it back to where it started from. Mofessor will immerce you in groove-heavy gumbo's of Chicago blues to the swampy New Orleans rhythms or funky R&B, bringing you up out of your chair and onto the dance floor.
Band Members:
Mofessor's current all star line up includes STAN BECRAFT on Bass (Big Monte), TIM DONAHUE at the drums (Cherry Poppin Daddies, Yngwie Malmsteen) and MAURICE "MOFESSOR" McCONNELL playing Piano/keyboards, Guitar, Vocals and Harmonica. On occasion Mofessor has featured guest performers into the show such as JC Rico, Mike Meyer, Josh Fulero and other top NW blues musicians.
