Description:
Echosflow is rock, passion and unrelenting worship packaged in a style that begs of the ear to listen and evokes the heart to respond. Established in the small city of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Echosflow began their journey as the worship band for Alpha Omega College Ministries. In response to the unmistakable call of God, each served obediently, spawning the formation of the band. However, it wasn’t until the unexpected fanfare of their first album, “Prone to Worship,” that Echosflow began to consider their calling as a band. With no intent to even spread the recording beyond the reach of those who attended the college ministry, the album’s overwhelming response gave the band no choice but to seek God’s face for their future. Through prayer the band discovered a unifying vision to lead people to God’s throne through genuine and passionate worship, a mission that continually motivates them. The driving force behind Echosflow is their stirring live performance. It ignites a movement that is birthed in the hearts of everyone who witnesses the passion and intensity of the band. On stage it begins as Wes emits the out-cries of his heart to the one Living God, releasing melodies that evoke a flood of response. The movement continues with Brad’s emotive bass lines and fervent disposition. It is sustained by the melodic out-pouring of John Potts’ guitar, cultivated in Luke’s embracing harmonies, and is finally grounded in the intensity of John Cade’s drum patterns as he locks into the rhythmic heart of God. It’s a movement that cannot be denied and has led the band to a variety of venues, including The Door in Dallas (www.thedoordallas.com), Building 8 (www.bldg8.com) the Big Spring Jam (www.bigspringjam.org), and Lifeway’s National Collegiate Week at Ridgecrest (www.lifeway.com). These opportunities not only allowed the band to share the stage with such artists as Audio Adrenaline and MercyMe, but they also created a demand to place the band’s music into the hands of the audience, sending Echosflow into a new season of ministry. In August of 2003, Echosflow released their first full-length album. The thirteen-song live recording captures the band’s heart for worship and passionate energy through a mix of original songs and arrangements. Spurred on by the high energy of “King of Glory” and the intimate lyrics of “I Love You,” “Prone to Worship” found its way into the hands of concert promoters and church leaders across the Southeast, launching the band’s transition into a full-time ministry. With clear vision, Echosflow immediately began to write and record new material. The result was a four song self-titled EP in April of 2004 that truly showcased the musical and lyrical maturity that ensued after the band’s first project. Though only four songs in length, the EP is an incredible demonstration of the band’s ability to be simultaneously explosive and intimate without losing focus. When commenting on the stark differences between the rock anthem of “More Than Anything” and the soft confession of “I Am Trusting You,” Wes stated, “The EP really shows the degrees of intensity and purpose in our style;” a style that continues to propel Echosflow forward today. Such a promising beginning to the band’s first full-length studio album, the EP has become a stepping-stone as the band now prepares to reenter the studio. Regardless of the hearts of those watching, Echosflow understands that it is their calling to lead the audience to the throne room of God through unadulterated personal worship on stage. The result is an interesting combination that encompasses the feel and energy of a rock show with the sincerity and zeal of a worship setting.
