The WELL

The WELL relocated in August 2002 to be based out of Jacksonville, Florida. They continue to tour along with establishing numerous venues throughout Northeast Florida. For their next album they hope to appreciate the contrast of climate and cultural diversity to their roots in order to transcend the already innovative Strange Bird.

Band Members:
Singer/musicians, Michael Evans(guitar and bass) and Weaver(guitar and bass), combined their talents in song writing to create the foundation for Strange Bird , their first album together as The WELL. Dynamic singer, Jennifer Bruce(percussion), joined the band during production on the album, fitting so neatly, she remained. Crash Monarch (guitar and bass), singer/musician, has been touring with The WELL since their CD release in July 2001 and has added his own original music to the mix. Jacksonville local, originally from North Carolina, Brian Jenkins has recently joined as percussionist adding to the already remarkable quality.

Happy Holly~days! The highlight of this season is the upcoming 19th Annual TOYS FOR TOTS Bike Ride & Benefit sponsored by the VIETNAM VETERANS & LEGACY VETERANS MOTORCYCLE CLUB, Sunday December 12th. The WELL will be performing at their clubhouse from 1:00~6:00PM on the day of the ride at 15180 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville FL. Registration for the ride begins at 10:00AM in the Orange Park Kennel Club west parking lot. Tickets may be purchased there or in advance at the club, from club members or by calling 904-371-4823. The registration fee is $5.00 per person, and everyone is asked to bring a new unwrapped toy for donation or a monetary contribution. This is little to ask, aiding many families with young children to enjoy their holidays. As we are fortunate to have many luxuries, a mere toy is a small price to pay to brighten one child’s day! The ride departs at about noon, escorted by the Clay County Sheriff’s Department and winds through Clay County ending at the clubhouse where there will be plenty of food, drink, prizes and music supplied by The WELL. Those who can not ride will be welcome to register in Orange Park, if they want to check out the action there. You may just come for the fun at the club. We wholeheartedly support this charity and hope all y’all will too! The band will be taking some time off during the holidays, but not without at least one huge bash. We have designated the Friday December 10th gig at WEST INN CANTINA, 9:00PM~1:00AM, 3644 St. Johns Ave, Avondale FL (904-389-1131) to be our “Celebrate-the-Season Party”. As some of the band will be traversing afar to visit friends and family in other realms, this will be our best opportunity to spend some quality party time in honor of the season right here in Jax. Hopefully, everybody will be game to join us! Looking forward, we have a few new venues booking The WELL all the way into springtime. Y’all can catch our performances at COYOTES OYSTER BAR & GRILL in Orange Park and at SLIDER’S SEASIDE GRILL in Fernandina Beach with some regularity. Of course, we’ll also be appearing at old favorite haunts like WEST INN CANTINA, too!
