Description:
A variety of new R&B / Soul original material with Pop and Rock influences that will have you listening to this CD again and again. This CD has something for everyone.
Band Members:
LaMont has a smooth silky voice and a way with an R&B groove. His singing has nice power and a nice range.
His songs are full of soul whether he is singing a ballad or lamenting his girlfriend not coming home. The songs touch on the many facets and stages of love, finding it, questioning it, losing it, missing it….and regardless the message is that love goes on.
There has been a lot of attention paid to details here in the production. Even though the arrangements sound looped and programmed, there isn’t an antiseptic feel. The vocal layering is rich and the grooves really do groove.
LaMont’s voice is the glue that holds it all together. It is the main instrument on each song. He and the co-producer Philip Trice made great choices on their attention to detail while at the same time keeping LaMont up front.
Fans of Marvin Gaye, Luther Vandross and Seal will all find things that will please them in “Love Goes On”.

LaMont does instore performance and CD signing of his new release, Love Goes On at Wal-Mart. Just back from tour in Germany and the Czech Republic, R&B recording artist LaMont will have his first In-store performance and CD Signing at the Wal-Mart Super Center in Kilgore, TX 8/14/2004 at 2PM.
(PRWEB) August 2, 2004 -- An independent release from the spring of 2004, Love Goes On presents LaMont as a incredibly talented and passionately inspired vocalist and songwriter. He has the voice and technique: like many contemporary R&B singers, his tools are in his ad-libbing toolbox, giving each song depth and meaning. Repeating the last few words of a line or wordlessly ululating atop the lyric, Love Goes On is skillfully laced with catchy hooks and grace notes. In general, LaMont's phrasing is competent, seemingly learned from Luther Vandross with a touch of new jack tossed in. LaMont's songs, also somewhat Vandross-inspired, are mostly low- to midtempo lover-man material, which are sure to make a lasting impression on the listener. "Missing You" being by far the biggest stand out of this independent release, listeners will be able to relate and enjoy. We've all missed someone in some way shape form or fashion. There's also a laid back female rap on "Funny Kind of Love," which was produced by LaMont and features yet another talented artist on the LaMont Music Label, Blaq Gal. On the other hand, "You Didn't Come Home" is a spirited effort, and the album-closing dance remix of the title track actually makes more sense than the ballady original, offering an assertive and triumphant affirmation of the power of love. That song withstanding, Love Goes On is a wholly must buy CD, LaMont showing himself to be a creative singer, songwriter, and producer: the triple crown of music creativity.
After nearly one month of touring Germany and the Czech Republic earlier this summer, LaMont, the singer, songwriter, producer and model is set to make an appearance August 14th at the Wal-Mart store in his home town - Kilgore, TX at 2PM. This instore promotion at Wal-Mart is sure to be the first of many for the soul crooner. LaMont's appearance will include a live performance of tracks from the new CD. He will also be signing CDs and posters. LaMont is set to return to Germany early this fall to further promote "Love Goes On."
Love Goes On is currently available online and in stores. LaMont is currently seeking booking agents in all regions for the summer and fall tour of Love Goes On.
