Saline

Saline’s goal is to provide a positive, high-energy atmosphere where all can enjoy music and experience the joy, hope, and love found in Jesus Christ. Our ministry’s verse is Matthew 5:13, where God calls us to be the “salt of the earth” and a city on a hill. Saline desires to encourage people to be the “salt” of the world around them by implementing their God-given gifts. Saline also wishes to set an example for believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith, and in purity (1 Timothy 4:11).

Formed in 2001, Saline is a five member band that is comprised of John Messner (vocals), Evan Ryder (lead guitar and bgv) , Matt Kann (bass), Dan Maurer (guitar and bgv) & John Kramer (percussion). The five members bring different musical backgrounds and approaches to Saline and merge them into a sound that is infectiously original and melodically appealing to both the young and young at heart.

In the short amount of time that Saline has been together, they have been blessed to play to crowds of 3000 people at events such as "Encounter" with national recording artist Lincoln Brewster. Saline also recorded, produced, and distributed an independent 13 song album of original work entitled “Listen.” “Listen” has made it into rotation on college and regional radio stations.

Saline has developed a reputation for performing highly energetic live shows with an emphasis on crowd participation. Coupled with an extensive library of contemporary praise songs and hook laden originals, Saline has developed quite a loyal fan base. Saline’s dedicated fans have traveled from far and wide to hear Saline perform.
