Description:
Quarters only is a six piece ska/rock band based out of the southern suburbs of Chicago, IL. The band started in Tinley Park, IL and became a solid four piece in 1999. Their style of music was specifically ska at this time, but as the group wrote more music, some rock influences were brought in and the band became ska/ rock. Quarters Only was doing well as a four piece, playing many shows around the suburbs of Chicago. They played their first Chicago gig at the Fireside Bowl in December of 2001, then continued to tour the Chicago-land area.. The band felt something was missing and new members were added. Quarters Only then debuted as a six piece in March of 2002 and were well-accepted. Their music has progressed from ska to ska/ rock, with fusions of jazz, funk, and pop. Their songs are intriguing in the ways of writing style and ability to get you out of your seat.
