Some of you may wonder, "What time is it?" Now for everyone who doesn't know what time it is, we would like to tell you that it is 8:05, ALWAYS. Many also wonder, "What is there to do at 8:05?" Well my misinformed friend, we would like to inform you about the appropriate thing to do at 8:05. The appropriate reaction towards the time 8:05 is to ROCK! It doesn't matter what you are doing, or where you are at, you must rock without inhabitions. Rock for the sake of fucking rocking! Rock for the sake of....well, whatever you feel like rocking about!!! That is what are all about...YOU MUST ROCK BEYOND ALL RECOGNITION AT ALL TIMES.
Animous Image was formed in February of 2001 after the bands Orbis and Taint disbanded. Tony V., Tony B., and Ben were in the band Orbis(their first band) for quite some time as well as Jason in Taint. After the disbandment of the bands, the mutual friends decided to try to start a new band. Thus the formation of Animous Image. Since then, A.I. has played many shows in Terre Haute, and out of Terre Haute. Some of the cities they have played in are: Indianapolis, Franklin, Jasper, and many other shows. Animous Image has released one full length cd entitled 'Focus' in September of 2002 which can be purchased by band members or at all of the shows. Lately, they have added former Fuse guitarist, Aaron Hogan to their mix as a second guitar player which greatly adds to the wall of sound that is Animous Image. In adding Aaron to the band, they have also refined their sound and matured immensely as musicians. The best description that comes to mind when speaking of A.I. is, intense, emotional, and extremely personable. A.I. makes it a point to make the crowd apart of the show along with the band. A.I. Brings many musical genres to the table when it comes to writing songs. Some styles that influence the band greatly are reggae, underground hip-hop, the many styles of metal, hardcore, jazz, and classic fusion rock. Some artist/bands that kind of describe the idiosyncratic method of A.I. would have to be, Frank Zappa, Faith No More, Deftones, 311, and Poison the Well. All of which are very dynamic bands themselves. Check out Animous Image sometime, you will not be dissapointed.
