Description:
Easterly are their band, thankfully. Clearly, though, the sound is crisp, lush and ever-flowing streams of stellar guitar work make Easterly a truly gripping and long-memorably revealing debut. There are perfectly matching smart harmonies and pop hooks to outstanding acoustic and electricguitar layers, the brilliance on this release casts no shadows. Lead singer and songwriter Noah Hall is writer for the ages and mark our words, you`ll be hearing a lot from him in the coming years. We`ll be heralding the triumphs of this sweetly arranged, smoothly harmonized and accomplished display of what songcraft should be about. Easterly utilizes a pulse-stopping and achingly beautiful richness to their recording process as each song shimmers and shine redolent with freshly minted lustrous vocals that are the hallmark of Easterly`s special spirit.

Band Members:
Easterly is:

Noah Hall – Singer, guitarist, father -- quietly unassuming but wields a sharp songwriting pen. Toyed with becoming an Episcopal man of the cloth via Yale Divinity where he spent some time -- an experience and epistemology that will occasionally surface in song. Former member of several Salem area bands, most recently “Choosy Beggars.” Can sing really, really high, and spends a portion of his disposable income at Chuck E. Cheese.

Andy Douthit – Guitarist. Does not sing nor does he care to, thank you very much! Currently has the longest hair in the band, so he at least gives Easterly an ounce of rock star cred. Literate in Classic Rock and Slayer. Has been known to read biographies and travel distances to see Springsteen. Also rocks with a little outfit called “Snake Attack”, although they may be on hiatus.

Kerry Kincanon – Bassist. Only feels comfortable amongst the lower frequencies. Likes life at sea level and is short by choice. Will sing backing vocals, but as you might expect, can’t sing high. From the Midwest, where he played in original bands called “Glass Bottom Isle” (Nebraska) and “Colorless Green Ideas” (Illinois). Musical claim to fame – once played in band with a guy who played in a band with MC 900 Foot Jesus.

Dan Miles – Drummer (plus other instruments on the album). Unlike Kerry, can sing high backing vocals, well. Also an excellent guitar player, and when properly plied by the audience, will play a song or two at our shows. Especially adept at Neil Diamond covers, and that’s no lie. Like Noah, has been in several Northwest bands – most recently as a guitarist for “Believing in June” and as drummer for “Snake Attack.”

Larry Adams – Guitarist, provider of atmosphere and feedback. The muscle of the band. Larry joined us post “recording project,” but we like him all the same. He’s seen a lot, so pretty much everything he says is interesting. He also can sing high and does a tasty cover of Iron & Wine covering The Postal Service’s “Such Great Heights.”

Flynn Nisbet – Inspiration, graphic designer, handler of merch, part-time roadie, frontman for the under appreciated and under heard “Snake Attack,” indie eye candy. Sits in his room while we practice and thinks up ways to “really” feel the music. Creator of the best self help web site in the world: www.snakeattack.com.
