Description:
Seraphim 9 is a small Shreveport, Louisiana based band formed in mid 2001. The bands humble beginning started when original bass player Steven Miller found Denny singing karaoke at the Blind Tiger (one of Shreveport’s local hotspots). From there the band quickly began molding what would ultimately become the music that you hear today. Each member with their own taste in different styles of music added their own unique flavor. With the guitar’s screaming influences from the likes of such bands as Metallica and Black Sabbath, to the vocal influences of others such as The Doors and Pearl Jam, this rock quartet rightfully seeks its place among the ranks with its predecessors in hopes of one day being able to look back and reflect on a long and illustrious career in music as well as writing music that will become part of history and be remembered for generations to come.

Band Members:
Denny Lee (Vocals):Born and raised in Shreveport/Bossier Louisiana. The beginning of my music career took place in a small church across the street from my highschool. A friend loaned me his bass guitar and that pretty much started it all. I quickly moved from bass to guitar and found that I had a natural knack for it. Years down the road I came to realize that I also had the ability to sing and with a little coaxing from my mother and stepfather I started performing at a local karaoke show that they hosted together and found that I had discovered my passion and my purpose. With a few years of experience now my fire for music is burning stronger than ever and I am looking to make music my career.

Ron Goebel (Guitar):Born and raised in New Jersey, I moved to Shreveport while in the Air Force. In need of a good hobby, I picked up a guitar when I was 14 and began playing along with my favorite bands. And while listening to the music I enjoyed, I decided I wanted to bring my music to the people. Metallica’s James Hetfield was my biggest influence.

Don Rockett (Bass): This bass player started out playing for Plugg in 1997 and grew to love the instrument more than any other. His style reflects influences from many types of music rather than individual players. After Plugg he moved to Chicago and played with some of the local artists. Since his return, fate led him to the Blind Tiger in Shreveport, Louisiana. Rockett has enjoyed listening to Korn, Tool, Deftones, Sevendust, and Alice in Chains for several years. His playing style is influenced by tricky changes and rhythm variety.

Will MacNaughton (Drums): I was born in a little town called Paragould, Ark and then moved to Baton Rouge where I did most of my growing up. I joined the school marching band and began playing Bass drum. After playing one drum for awhile I moved behind an entire drum set. Playing the drums became a way for be to vent all of my frustrations safely and they became a way of life for me.
