Description:
Quickly becoming one of Hollywood's most talked about bands, Simpler Machine has begun to have a cult following. This is the real deal, done for the right reasons, as the goal of this band is for it's audiences to either "Love or Hate, but never Forget" what they saw that night. "The band absolutely slams!" says Kansas City writer Wess Hudelson. "Simpler Machine ripped my fucking head off. Once the curtain went up my eyes were wide and my undies were soiled. From start to finish these five guys threw down! For more than 40 minutes this band threw themselves at the walls, at each other, and at the crowd of mostly scantily clad women." Kev-Mo, Rock City News, Los Angeles, Ca. Singer and "cut and paste" composer Jon Nicholson's Iggy Pop/Bowie/R. Plant stage presence and vocals constantly keep audiences off balance and entertained, while the "monkey beat" time changes and hooks in the songs are a view of what goes on in his insane-genius mind. Visionary guitarist, Dave Isaac, delivers melodic and constantly odd guitar "interpretations" which are consistently adding to and completing the enormous mass of sound emitting from the stage. Constantly bangin' his head off his shoulders, fellow guitarist Joey Sanchez, powers through tunes all the while breakin' strings and hammering out driving and screaming metal riffs, together they combine beautifully to color up and decorate this lethal Machine. The engine powering this train forward is a combination of bassist Anoush Saboktakin and drummer Jason Brunk. Newest member and destroying bass player, Anoush, who's stage presence equals being in the room with the Undertaker, has handled business seamlessly, adding a musicality, forward momentum and positive energy previously missed. Heavy hitter, Brunk, seemingly attempting to break everything, rounds out the five-some, bringing a foundation of groove and an endless barrage of notes back to the forefront of American rock. Drinks are bought and conversations halted as the band begins taking the crowd on an Acid trip of sorts. There are no weak links, you'll get more than your money's worth from the initial down beat until the show is over, if you haven't seen Simpler Machine, it's suggested that you catch their

ALBUM IS DONE!!

... Holy Shit!...that took a while.... "2013" is finished and ready to be manufactured! We'll have promotional hard copies in 2 weeks, and though the official release date is 01/01/08, again we've proven that you can't control time....it's on iTunes already (?!!) so you can get it now if you need it!!! I don't know how many peeps reading this are musicians, but lemme tell you something...good sounding records are a bitch to make! Last October we were doing our daily X-Boxing tournament, and i was rambling to Jason and Jeffizzle about how fucked the music biz is, and how ridiculously exspensive it is to make the world-class record we needed. (haha..i might have been complaining). So Jeffizzle says "dude, just start it". So we did. We chose 15 songs, and rehearsed the fuck out of them. My friend John Lou heard it and recognized how fucking cool this album could be. So we tracked drums 2 months later at Dave Grohls studio; where J-Lou is the house engineer. We finished drum tracks in 2 days and began planning the next move.. Good to have friends eh?! By this point Jeffizzle was laughing and pointing at his feet continously. 3 months later, my friend Paul Fig suggested we do guitars at Mower Studios. Miles and Fig hooked it up and we started in again. Joey methodically laid down his guitar parts over a few days, and Dave played his in a couple of hours. The yin and the yang! We kept most of Dave's first takes =) Solo's went down on day 6, and on the 7th day at Mower, Anoush laid down ALL his bass tracks....like the bad mother fucker that he is!!! (while we ruled the xbox motocross game) I tracked vocals at Sean Beavan's studio in Laurel Canyon. I'm not sure Sean even heard my vocals pryor to tracking, but he'd seen the band several times beforehand. Over a weeks time, Sean was grinning ear to ear as i sang the songs for a few hours each day. By now I was also sure how badmotherfuckingass this record was going to be! Sean and Juliette rule....i also play drums in their band 8MM =) And Jeffizzle is still smiling and emphatically pointing at his feet thinking.... see?...see?! I told you bitch! I kept the hard drives with me for the next 3 months. We did rough mixes at studios all over town. It wasn't happening, so I grew some balls and asked Beavan for another favor. It was mixed by the end of that month; by the master himself....dayaaaaam....lucky again! 2 months later, Tom Baker at Precision Mastering put the finishing touches on the record and Dave and Andy hustled to finish the artwork. All that was left was ISRC codes, registering, resizing, reformatting, copywriting, publishing and distributing!! OMG!! So here we are....i have the feeling this is just the beginning.... I'm sure Jeffizzle will be smiling and still pointing at his feet later today when i clobber him in X- boxing!

....see?! i told ya!!!! Simpler Machine -Jon
