Description:
TOAST is all about writing songs that are packed with energy and are not bound by any stylistic guidelines. It is our mission to play songs that have hard-hitting melodies and play fun, energetic shows. We are a three piece band from the Minneapolis area. TOAST has been together since 2001, playing shows and writing original music.
Band Members:
Joe is the drummer. He mixes elements of funk, jazz, rock, and metal to provide a full, thick sound while pounding out intense rhythms. His parts are busy and full of attack, while maintaining amazing dynamics. He is the backbone of this band. David, the bassist, plays fast, intricate riffs with a musical ferocity matched only by his stage-presence. David's insane playing means that the bass parts are often the lead, with the guitar parts being smoother, providing the basic melody. It is this element in our songs which sets us apart from most popular music, and puts our music beyond most listeners' expectations. Ted handles vocals and guitar. With a more "modern punk" style, the guitar parts are hard-hitting and melody-driven. Ted's vocals are aggressive, yet warm, with lyrics rooted in thoughtful, introspective subject matter. TOAST songs are the harmonious union of elements of many different styles.
