Music types: Bluegrass, Americana
Description:
Fossil Creek was formed in the Toledo area of NW Ohio and SE Michigan in 2006. Starting as a gospel group, our interests gradually grew to include traditional and contemporary bluegrass and Americana music. As we started writing our own musical stories and producing CD's, that original music has become a bigger and bigger part of our shows. Fossil Creek is known for tight harmonies and having a lot of fun on stage. When you come to a Fossil Creek show, you'll hear original music mixed with songs from the legends of bluegrass, some new and some old. We'll toss in a little of the gospel music and some silliness that has always been a part of our shows, and we might even come up with a surprise or two along the way. Our main goal is to play great music and have a great time doing it.

Band Members:
Jan Hudson (banjo)lives in Lambertville, MI, and is one of the two original members of Fossil Creek. Her musical roots are in traditional bluegrass music where she has played banjo, guitar, and bass for many years. She also runs her own photography business, Hudson Studios in Lambertville.

Tom Galbraith (mandolin/guitar) is from Wauseon, OH, and is the other original member of the band. He writes a lot of Fossil Creek's original music, and has his roots in folk and southern rock, but has really gravitated toward the sound of bluegrass.

Dave Borkowski (guitar) is an established Toledo area musician, with roots in rock and country, and has been a member of the Toledo rock legend, Uncle Knucklefunk. He adds his fantastic guitar, vocal, and songwriting skills that give a bit of an edge to the Fossil Creek sound.

Ron Lawson (bass) has only been playing with the group since April of 2012, but has added his bass and low vocal skills to our sound. Ron can play just about anything with strings, and is a music instructor in the Toledo area at Forte Music.

David Moore is a fiddle legend in the Ohio/Michigan bluegrass scene, and has been with the group since 2011. His amazing skills have really rounded out the Fossil Creek sound, and even occasionally adds his vocal skills to our music.
