What started as a studio project back in May 2011 has pushed forward to the release of their (5) song E.P. entitled "Southern Ties" in the winter of 2012 and their full length L.P. “Darling Derringer” set to release in the fall. Between their old soul guitar riffs that keep your feet pacing from note to note, to the rebellious lyrics of the singer that keeps you gasping between each verse and hanging your heart on every chorus, the boys in Delta Dabney have truly found a hard rooted sound that not only relates to every listener but embodies the creative drive that music has not seen in many years. From the top of the show you hear the opening lyrics of “Cut Loose”, that instantly draws the crowd in from every corner of the venue with its blue collar anthem of, “You wake up...you clock in...it’s time to do this shit again...”, to their first single, Honey Bee’s Picnic Tree, that throws your imagination straight onto the stage. Every member of Delta Dabney charges the show with both a drive of passion and an overwhelming sense of reality. In doing so, they’ve managed to gather quite the following and pique the interests of a wide variety of listeners. Within their solid debut on to the Virginia music scene, Delta Dabney has been successful in incorporating many styles and are setting the bar for the music industry, proving that looks don't make the genre, but that the sound from the heart, soul, and undying passion for music, can bring everyone to a common ground and equal entertainment. Fueled by good ol’ southern rock, a blue collar style and upbringing, and a hint of delta blues, these young rebels have their eyes set on the future of music, the melodies it’s been missing, and the unsurpassing devotion to push it forward.
