Anastia

Anastia ___ Johnson (pronounced /Anas tia`/; born August 25) is an American recording artist, singer, songwriter and poet. Anastia’s love for singing and performing were enhanced as a child at her local church, where she was drawn to the sounds of the choir and lyrics and would often be found singing along as they performed. While she has fond memories of her time spent at church; Anastia says her desire for music; was developed by someone closer to home. As commented by Anastia, “My father was the start of my musical desires” As a former musician and vocalist Anastia’s father Harold Johnson was always sharing his passion for jazz, soul along with some great old time gospel favorites with his small children. Anastia watching her father’s passion for this specialized art, desired to mirror in his footsteps.

In the late 90’s following into the earlier millennium Anastia began writing, composing and creating music of her own. Her ability to captivate diverse crowds with her lyrics, voice, and charisma is evident in the many accolades and awards she has received to date. Anastia views her musical prowess as a blessing and is dedicated to creating music that is appealing, heartfelt, and seen as relevant by her audience. According to Anastia, “My music allows me to creatively express the way I feel; my writings connect me to the world, which translate through my songs; and grants me the opportunity to share a piece of me with everyone.”
