2nd Street Blues gets their name from there first practice setting at one of the members rental homes. "We met at an open mike at Rack em Up." It was a smooth transition from just jamming to, 'making something happen as a group' "
Jeff Faber the bass player comes from South Carolina with a rounded background in bass and guitar. On any given night you can find him out playing at open jams. Charles Nida is a guitar virtuoso. He's performed in a variety of different settings in the Wichita area. Yoshunda, lays it all out with her gospel free spirited sound doing lead vocals. She has a gospel church background where she plays piano and vocal leads. Doug (the guy with the trombone) has a background in gospel music but enjoys the experience of blues and jazz. He plays a variety of instruments with his principal role as the percussionist for the band. 2nd Street Blues has an eclectic sound with a mixture of Blues, Gospel, Rock and Jazz of the Big Band Era.
