Description:
The SHOVELBYRDS are a four-piece rock band whose two guitar attack drives a unique mix of original music and classic rock-n-blues! Their members include Pat Mahoney (guitar & vocals), Dave Richards (guitar & vocals), Jim Brannon (bass & vocals) and Mike Hilgendorf (drums). Originally formed in 1992 as a cover band the SHOVELBRYDS toured the local area bar scene, performed at fairs and festivals, and played numerous house parties. The band decided to take a break from performing in 1997 to concentrate on their personal and business lives. In 2004, the SHOVELBYRDS reformed with the intent to write and perform their own material with cover tunes thrown in for taste. The current SHOVELBYRDS lineup has been performing together since 2006.
The SHOVELBYRDS have proven over the years to be a top notch professional level band. Their eagerness to perform and showcase their talents has added benefits to anyone, or any venue, interested in having the band perform. Their cutting edge rock-n-blues style is always well liked and will bring an appreciation for their music from all generations. Energetic and powerful with their original music, and a hint of perfection with their cover tunes, their music will certainly be well received.
