In his many years as a performer, Greg has achieved a stylistic versatility that is rare among vocalists. Whether it's big band, standards, pop, or classic rock and roll, his warm tone and smooth delivery has captivated audiences in Virginia and beyond. Greg is a lifelong Lynchburg resident. Since the age of 7, and his introduction to the drums, Greg has been involved in music. Over the years, Greg played drums for The Expressions, Stonehenge and the Hard Day’s Night tribute band. When he wasn’t rocking out, Greg worked as an EMT, but always came back to playing music. Aside from the one-man band, Greg plays drums in Off The Cuff The Band. “Music has been what’s kept me going,” Greg said. Three years ago, Greg bought his equipment with the intention of starting a one-man show. The equipment collected dust for more than a year. Then, in February 2007, Greg’s friend, (Sonny) booked him a show. Now, four years since his first show, Greg has turned his one-man show into a business. Eight to ten times a month, Greg is at a venue belting out hits from Frank Sinatra to Jimmy Buffett. When he’s not performing, Greg rehearses three nights a week and sings along to the instrumental versions of the songs. He works on timing, because, unlike a band, sequenced music can’t tell if the singer needs an extra bar of music. During each take, Greg tweaks the song’s tempo, pitch and volume and customizes each song to fit his voice. In all, Greg sings more than 45 songs a night. Greg supplies all sound, stage lighting, spotlights and costumes for each show.
