Description:
We are a 5 piece screamo band from South LA. Struck by the lack of humanity, these guys have seen it all. With alienation from the 'normal' Rock sound, La lights, alongside a dream of fulfilling passion, steps up on stage. A rock show immersed in guitar harmonies, crisp vocals, and a pumped crowd begins. This is the picture at every show but don't let their present success deceive you. Although a raging crowd participates at this venue, this has not always been the case. With misfitted, dead-end ventures by every member previously, most had been left dazed and ready to fold the hand they had been dealt. Each member of the band had seen their ups and downs throughout their journey in the industry, as have many. Their success-determining factor has been, however, their passion for the music.
Most of La lights have found themselves, at one time or another, taking part in some under developed, effort to reach people with hope. But feeling 'cold' and 'damaged' by the same old routine, has found them stretching outwards to find venues to reach those too weak to reach out on their own. That's the heart of the band . . . to bring hope to those who are hurting. Blindside, to say the least, has probably had the greatest musical influence on these guys, and one second of a clip from their upcoming Debut EP release reveals a kindred spirit. Be looking for these guys on tour in a city near you this fall!
Band Members:
Josiah Granier is the lead singer. He lead worship for the youth of his home church and worked in Alabama with a youth music ministry before pursuing LA lights. He is also a talented songwriter.
Chris Jones, the bass player, is a youth pastor with a heart for all people. He has served on a worship team since he was a child. Chris is also a songwriter.
Jeremy Dailey is the drummer and an excellent vocalist. Before LA lights he was the worship leader for several years at his home church.
Joshua Gourgues plays rhythm guitar and does background vocals. He also has been on worship teams since he was a child.
Josh [Bob] Ferrara is the lead guitar player. He also was on the worship team at his local church.
All have a heart that longs to reach God's people right where they are in life. Each brings his own identity across in appearance and in song. But, ultimately their goals is to reflect the person of Jesus Christ and the love that He has given them.
